Synopsis
InTENTcity is an independently produced film, made by a group of filmmakers and journalists dedicated to showing the true aftermath of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. This film provides a unique view of a little known or understood facet of the relief effort; following the hurricanes tent cities sprung up overnight becoming centers for organizing the relief work. Already FEMA and the National Hurricane Center have forecasted that this year’s hurricane season will be worse than the last both in their intensity and number of land-falls. The goal of the film is to raise awareness of the needs for organized relief readiness and to demonstrate the key role that portable shelter plays in saving lives.
This film looks at disaster relief through the eyes of a tent and sees the necessity of responding promptly in times of crisis.
